Floor Waterproofing
Floor Waterproofing is a crucial treatment for the building. Many times, the negligence of the proper waterproofing treatment causes the hassles for the property’s owners in the later stage. Waterproofing is always better to do it right at the first time, rather than repair when the water leakage occurs. The repair cost might even more expensive than the proper waterproofing treatment at the first time during the construction stage.
In a building, there are several areas of the floor would need to do proper waterproofing. Namely wet area like toilet, bathroom, kitchen area, balcony or any slabs / reinforced concrete that will exposed to the water. There are several ways of floor waterproofing. The most common waterproofing method is liquid apply waterproofing and torch applied waterproofing.
Liquid applied waterproofing will provide a seamless waterproofing protection layer for the floor. During the application of liquid waterproofing, the waterproofing material is in liquid form, when it dries, it will turn to become a rubber-like layer of waterproofing. This layer of waterproofing will adhesive to the floor and prevent the water sip thru the floor. Liquid applied waterproofing is commonly used for internal floor waterproofing. For example : kitchen area, bathroom, toilet and etc.
Torch applied waterproofing is a roll on carpet of waterproofing method. As the name mentioned, this type of waterproofing membrane requires the thermal to heat up the membrane and bond strongly to ground. This process we call it “Torch Applied”. Torch applied waterproofing is commonly use for external floor waterproofing. For instance, flat roof area, balcony or any others slab that expose to external weather.
